The South East Lincolnshire Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) examines potential sites for meeting South East Lincolnshire’s housing needs. It provides evidence which will underpin the Local Plan’s decisions on housing land allocations but it does not, in itself, determine whether a site should be allocated for development. This is because not all the sites considered in the SHLAA area suitable for development. It is the role of the SHLAA to provide information on the range of sites which are available to meet need, but it is for the Local Plan itself to determine which of those sites are most suitable to meet those needs.
