29th June 2018 – The South East Lincolnshire Joint Strategic Planning Committee will meet at 10.00 on Friday 29th June 2018 at South Holland District Council’s offices. The principal item on the agenda is to consider the ‘Proposed Main Modifications’ to the emerging Local Plan and seek approval their approval for the purpose of public consultation. Dates for the Public Consultation on the Proposed Main Modifications – Following the completion of the Examination Hearing Session on Thursday 26th April 2018, the South East Lincolnshire Joint Strategic Planning Committee have agreed the dates for the public consultation on the proposed main modifications to the plan.  The consultation will take place from 9.00 am on Monday 16th July 2018 until 5.00 pm on Tuesday 28th August 2018.

The Joint Policy Unit will be writing to all representors in due course providing full details of the consultation process.


26/04/18 – Schedule of Modifications to the Sustainability Appraisal – The Joint Committee have produced a draft Schedule of Modifications to the Sustainability Appraisal (ED153) which can be viewed in the Examination Library


23/04/18 – Revisions made to the Proposed Main Modifications Document (ED141) – Please note that further minor amendments have been made by the Joint Committee to the Proposed Main Modifications Document (ED141) to be discussed at the Hearing Session on Day 24: Thursday 26th April 2018.  ED141 can be viewed in the Examination Library

22/12/17 – New Dates to be confirmed in the New Year for further Hearing Sessions to revisit outstanding Homework Matters – It was hoped to arrange new dates for these Hearing Sessions to take place in January 2018, however this will not be possible.  New dates will be confirmed in the New Year once agreed and will be posted on the website.


13/12/17 – POSTPONEMENT OF AFTERNOON HEARING SESSION FOR DAY 19: THURSDAY 14 DECEMBER 2017 – The Joint Committee, in agreement with the Inspector and Listed Participants for the Hearing Session to be held on Thursday 14th December 2017 at 2.00 pm at SHDC, have agreed to postpone the Hearing Session which was to discuss Matters for Review, Triggers and Timescales, Main Midifications and List of Sustainability Appraisal.  A revised date will be agreed for the New Year. 12/12/17 – CHANGE OF VENUE FOR DAY 19 MORNING HEARING SESSION – Please note that the venue for the Hearing Session to be held on Thursday 14th December 2017 at 10.00 am has moved from Boston Borough Council to South Holland District Council.

30/10/2017 – FURTHER QUESTIONS FROM INSPECTOR – Further Questions have been received from the Inspector relating to Matter 4: Gypsies and Travellers, Matter 6: Retail and Matter 10: Infrastructure.  These documents are available to view in the Examination Library.


27/10/2017 – STATEMENTS OF COMMON GROUND – Three Statements of Common Ground have been added to the Examination Library, which are:

23/10/2017 – FURTHER AMENDMENT TO THE REVISED DRAFT EXAMINATION HEARINGTIMETABLE FOR WEEKS 3 AND 4 – A further amendment to the draft Examination Hearing Timetable has been made for Week 3: Day 12 – Friday 1 December 2017, Matter 9: Allocations (Strategic Urban Extension in Boston).  This has now been moved to Week 4: Day 15 – Thursday 7 December 2017 at 10.00 am.  The latest Draft Examination Hearing Table can be accessed here.


19/10/2017 – REVISED DRAFT EXAMINATION HEARING TIMETABLE INCLUDING REVISED HEARINGS FOR WEEKS 2-4 – The new revised draft Examination Hearing Timetable has now been published and is located within the Examination Library (ED006).


17/10/2017 – NEW WEEK 2 TIMETABLE – Week 2 of the Examination will now be the week commencing 6 November 2017.  Please note that there have been amendments to this week of the timetable, with M6. Retail and M4. Gypsies and Travellers being added.  The timetable for this week is available to view here.


11/10/2017POSTPONEMENT OF EXAMINATION HEARING DATES – Due to the Inspector not being available due to illness, the following Examination Hearing Dates have been postponed:

Tuesday 24 October 2017 – Matter 3: Spatial Strategy

Wednesday 25 October 2017 – Matter 4: Gypsies and Travellers including Travelling Showpeople and Matter 7: Design and the Environment

Thursday 26 October 2017 – Matter 6: Retail and General Matters, Other Matters arising from the week’s hearings

Friday 27 October 2017 – Reserved Session (if required)

Wednesday 1 November 2017 – Matter 9: Allocations

Thursday 2 November 2017 – Matter 9: Allocations

Further communication regarding new dates will follow shortly.


06/10/2017 – Agendas for the first week of the Stage 1 Hearing Sessions have now been added to the Examination Library which detail the participants (ED011, ED012, ED013, ED014).


03/10/2017 – The latest draft Examination Hearing Timetables for Stage 1 and Stage 2, containing participating attendees, can be found in the Examination Library.


22/09/2017 – The Stage 2 Hearing Sessions will be held at Boston Borough Council Offices, West Street, Boston, Lincs, PE21 8QR.


20/09/2017 –The hearing dates for Stage 2 of the Examination have been confirmed as follows:

  • 1st and 2nd November 2017 for Matter 9: Allocations
  • 8th and 9th November 2017 for Matter 10: Infrastructure and Matter 11: Monitoring

The venues for Stage 2 will be confirmed shortly.
